Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) was established in 2015 on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great youth icon of India. Officially, VWF is registered on 20th December , 2018 in the office of Registrar of Societies , Home Department, Nagaland under Societies Registration Act , 1860 with registation No. HOME/SRC-7298. Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) is a non-profitable and Non-Governmental Organization with socio-charitable activities as its primary objective and selfless service of humanity as its pivotal philosophy. It is a humanitarian organization inspired by the spiritual and humanistic ideals of Swami Vivekananda. The Foundation has been formed to effectively implement the broad vision of Swami Vivekananda and His Mission; the vision of reaching out to more and more people around the country, and touching their lives with love, care and kindness, bringing smiles on every face.

Vivekananda Welfare Foundation is basically a social, non-profit, charitable and Non-Governmental Organisation with the commitment to practise several social activities to implement the message of universal love and brotherhood and to fulfill the motto of the Foundation "Service to Man is service to God" as propagated by Swami Vivekananda, the great Youth Icon of our country and hence it may be addressed as Youth Organisation. The Vivekananda Welfare Foundation was established to implement the message and visions of Swami Vivekananda. It works in different spheres including Education, Health & Medical, and Mass Empowerment which includes woman and youth etc. It also provides Humanitarian Aid during crisis, conducts various social awareness programme etc. It has several other aims and objectives based on the ideals of truth , justice and fraternity as propagatrd by Swami Vivekananda and is continuously striving towards goals of establishing Peace and Harmony in the society.
The Foundation benefits or helps the poor, needy irrespective of all religion, caste, creed, community, tribes and languages and culture. It also works for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society especially woman and children. It gives aid to the sick and downtrodden. Fundamentally, it benefits Human kind as a whole.
